Kilpatrick established the KTS Employee Financial Support Fund (EFSF) to support firm employees who are experiencing unanticipated financial hardship. The fund is supported by individual donations from attorneys and professional staff.

 

Donations to the fund are tax-deductible, and grants are not taxed for recipient employees, based on the fund's status as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Grant decisions are made by a committee comprised of KTS partners and professional staff, using the criteria outlined in the policy and FAQ documents available on the firm's intranet.
