Help Legal Aid of North Carolina Support Recovery from Hurricane Helene
About this Giving Opportunity
After making landfall on Friday, September 27 as a Category 4 storm, Hurricane Helene tore up thousands of homes, flooded vast areas, and caused widespread power outages. It has killed more than 130 people across six states and left parts of North Carolina devastated.
Legal Aid of North Carolina is providing disaster relief to affected survivors of Hurricane Helene by assisting with access to financial and housing assistance, providing assistance with insurance claims and appeals, helping groups form 501(c)(3)s navigate the disaster relief ecosystem, and all other legal needs resulting from the storm. Legal Aid is North Carolina’s leader on the legal disaster response with all cases from the Western part of the State coming through the agency.
Legal Aid of North Carolina needs to raise $2M quickly to support its efforts and needs your help.
